The blog Captain Obvious has been compiling some great mixtapes the past few months, but it was a single post that caught our eye this week - a new track from the Toronto band, Bruce Peninsula, that skews far from what we've heard from the outfit from the past. Mixing folk, indie rock, blues, soul, and even jam, this track instantly stands out against the rest of the white noise, especially once the gospel choir breaks in over the marching band drums. Captain Obvious goes on to say that "Half the time you'd be hard-pressed to discern whether they're singing a song or performing an exorcism." Highest honors indeed.
