Briana’s pick: Drunk History
Step 1: Get a friend who enjoys history and/or storytelling.
Step 2: Decide on a historical event to discuss.
Step 3: Get your friend really, really drunk and have him/her tell a story about said event (DO NOT let him/her pass out. Puking is acceptable).
Step 4: Enjoy.
Step 5: Hire some fun people (preferably famous comedians or what the heck, Crispin Glover) to portray these historical figures per the story as told by your intoxicated friend.
Step 6: Give your project a working title (“Drunk History” has a nice ring to it…) and post it on funnyordie.com. **
Step 7: Earn the respect of history buffs everywhere.

James’ pick: Doctor Who
So I’ve been really into Doctor Who lately, dipping back into the early incarnations of this venerable British television/book/comic/audiobook hero.
Just check out the differences, and notice how much this show has evolved over the years. Here’s the current doctor, played by Matt Smith:

Each of the eleven actors has brought something different to the role, and they’re all cherished in their own way. The current doctor is my favorite so far – this guy has just totally owned the role in just one season. What I love about the show is that it can be anything and everything - it's been comedy, sci-fi, horror, light-hearted, dark, anything you could imagine. It never takes itself too seriously, and is always great fun.
If you’d like to explore classic Doctor Who stories, I’d suggest “The Aztecs” (First Doctor) and “The Tomb of the Cybermen” (Second Doctor). These shows had the feel of a classic “Twilight Zone” episode more than anything else (without anything near TZ's budget, which is why you will get monsters that are obviously spray-painted cardboard boxes. Again, part of the fun). After watching these, you’ll know whether or not this is a rabbit hole that you’d like to disappear down. Trust me, it's addictive, and there's tons of stuff to catch up on if you're new to it.
