Molly: The Paws Report, June 11

Today on The Paws Report at 3:30pm:

Molly is a beautiful three-year-old golden-colored Labrador Retriever/Boxer mix. At 33 pounds, she's the perfect size: not too big, not to small, Molly is just right! Molly came to the Kentucky Humane Society when her owner moved and could not take her along. When Molly first arrived at KHS, she was a bit distressed. She didn't know why she was abandoned or if her owner was ever going to come back for her. When anyone walked by her cage, she waited expectantly, hoping it was her owner. As the days passed, Molly resigned herself to her new reality. She has learned to love the walks that Kentucky Humane Society volunteers give her every day, and she loves getting belly rubs and treats. But while Molly has learned to accept her time at KHS, she really misses being in a home. If you are considering adopting a furry friend, please come meet Molly. This sweetheart will worm her way into your heart! Molly is spayed, micro-chipped and up-to-date on vaccinations. Molly is at the Kentucky Humane Society’s Main Campus, 241 Steedly Drive in Louisville. View all adoptable pets at www.kyhumane.org or call 502-366-3355 for more information.

The Lyndon Summer Festival is this weekend at Robison Park in Lyndon neighborhood. 4-10 pm on Friday and noon-10 pm on Saturday. KHS will be there both days selling KHS merchandise such as Frisbees, T shirts, collapsible bowls, hats and umbrellas. We will also offer free pet advice via our Pet Help Line coordinator. Kids can stop by the booth to make fleece dog toys for their pets or for shelter pets.

Also, Dog Day at the Park is next Tuesday, June 17, 7:05 p.m. at Slugger field. Human tickets are $7; dog tickets are $3, and those proceeds go directly to KHS.
