Wolfie: The Paws Report, Jan. 7

Our star for The Paws Report today at 3:30 pm is Wolfie:

Wolfie found his way to the Kentucky Humane Society (KHS) because his owner was unable to care for him. It wasn't long before the staff at KHS discovered that he was blind. When he first arrived, he flinched to the touch, was unsure of his surroundings, and walked with extreme caution. After a few days of TLC, yummy snacks, and lots of snuggles from KHS staff, he quickly settled in to his temporary office home. Since then, Wolfie has learned the lay of the land and easily navigates his space. He will find his person when he needs to potty and rarely has an accident. He knows his way through the building to his potty area and is perfectly content turning right around and heading back inside. He loves snacks and will happily bury his head in your lap for hugs. He has shared his office with cat and doggie friends without an issue; in fact he loves the company! Wolfie very quickly became a staff favorite, and once you meet him, you'll understand why! Wolfie is a kind, loving and well-behaved boy. He is an absolute pleasure to have around. Blind dogs thrive in homes with families who don't vary their routine much, since it can take them several days to acclimate to new surroundings. If you're a bit of a homebody and need a couch potato pal, Wolfie may just be your guy! Wolfie is neutered, micro-chipped and up-to-date on his vaccinations. Come meet him at the KHS Main Campus, 241 Steedly Drive. For more on Wolfie or other adoptable pets, please call 502-366-3355 or visit kyhumane.org.
