Kittens!: The Paws Report, May 20

Kittens today for The Paws Report at 3:30 pm:
Keebler is a black-and-white tuxedo kitten who is almost four months old. Keebler is outgoing and loves to play with other cats, toys and human visitors. He was one of five kittens from the same litter who was brought to the Kentucky Humane Society when his owner had an unexpected litter. The Doctor is an orange female tabby who came to KHS with her four siblings and mother from Louisville Metro Animal Services. At KHS, the family spent time in foster care until the kittens were weaned and old enough to be adopted. Now The Doctor is ready for her own forever home. Keebler and The Doctor are available for adoption at the Kentucky Humane Society’s Main Campus, 241 Steedly Drive in south Louisville. They are spayed/neutered, micro-chipped and up-to-date on vaccinations. Learn more about all our pets at www.kyhumane.org or by calling 502-366-3355.

It’s officially kitten season: Let’s spay/neuter all those kitties! And we are in a real need of foster families to provide temporary homes for kittens, puppies, cats and dogs.

Also, two 4 week old kittens came to KHS on Sunday after they were found thrown from a car in Nelson County. The finder also saw 6 dead kittens on the road. The two surviving kittens were are now recovering at KHS and doing very well. Their names are Julep and Rye, as they were found on the Bourbon Trail very close to Heaven Hill Heritage Center. Horrific. Here is more info: http://www.whas11.com/story/news/local/community/2015/05/19/julep-and-rye-kittens-humane-society/27599085/
