Venus & Pitty Fair 2015: Paws Report, 9/23/15

Today on The Paws Report at 3:30 we have two special guests with The Ky. Humane Society as always and Kelsey Westbrook from Saving Sunny, Inc. to talk about this year's Pitty Fair. We also have a puppy who needs fostering named Neptune. Below is Neptune's story plus details on the Pitty Fair 2015.

Why should you foster shelter puppies? For the kisses! Venus is a five-week-old pit bull puppy who came to the Kentucky Humane Society along with her seven siblings (all named for planets) and their mom from an overcrowded shelter in Kentucky. Venus and her siblings are all weaned, and they will need temporary foster homes for about four weeks—until they are old enough to be spayed or neutered and adopted. KHS places 2-3 puppies in each volunteer foster home and provides all the supplies; all you need to provide is love! Many of our foster parents have other pets at home and work full-time; others are students or retirees who don’t want to commit to full-time to pet ownership. If you are interested in learning more about fostering, visit our website at www.kyhumane.org or email foster@kyhumane.org, or call our main number at 502-366-3355. Fostering is rewarding and helps save lives!

Also, the 2015 Pitty Fair will take place this Saturday, Sept. 26 at St. Joseph's Children's Home on Frankfort Avenue from 11am-3pm. Details can be found on their facebook event page here - https://www.facebook.com/events/109791599375305/
