Tuesday Featured Artist: Bob Marley

Listen for a song from our Tuesday Featured Artist every hour from 6 a.m. to  6 p.m.
One of reggae's most iconic figures, Bob Marley was the first Jamaican artist to achieve international superstardom, introducing the music of his island nation to the world. He advocated for social change while simultaneously allowing listeners to forget their troubles and dance. Born Robert Nesta Marley on February 6, 1945, he left us way too soon at the age of 36 in 1981 due to metastatic skin cancer. This Tuesday we cerebrate his music and legacy on what would have been his 72nd birthday. For more information:  Official Site   Facebook   Twitter   AllMusic
