Despite a name that evokes both father Steve and his dad's mentor, Townes Van Zandt, Justin Townes Earle has crafted his own unique musical style. Earle has always had a knack for forging a relationship between roots music's past and Memphis soul, swing, blues and rockabilly, but doesn't want to be labeled simply Americana. WFPK is proud to welcome Justin back to Louisville this Friday (5/19) at Headliners , as he tours in advance of his upcoming release Kids in the Street (May 26) on New West. We'll be getting ready for the show by spinning his tunes throughout the day.
