Album of the Month: Beck – Song Reader

songreader

In 2012, Beck released a book of sheet music (yes, sheet music!) called Song Reader. The plan was for people to purchase the sheet music and play the “album” themselves. There was even a website where different versions of the songs could be uploaded and heard by the world. Two years later, Beck has decided to release his own definitely musical rendition of that material with help from folks like Jack White, Jack Black, Jarvis Cocker, Laura Marling, and Norah Jones. The recorded version of Song Reader is out now.
