Well, the fall is upon us once again and even though the weather is starting to cool off the live music scene is beginning to heat up. You may have noticed an upswing in the number of shows here in the ‘Ville. But with the combination of high ticket prices and a slow economy, many of us won’t be able to make every show we want to see. Obviously the question for music lovers then is where you can get the best bang for your buck. The answer this weekend is Peak Summit. Ten stages and over 25 local and regional acts for less than it costs to make my monthly trip to the Laundromat. Hey, don’t judge me I just happen to own that much underwear.
This time around, Peak Summit is going to be in the heart of St. Mathews at venues like Saint's, Zazoo's, Gerstle's and The BBC, and all of the shows are within walking distance of each other. Now while convenience and price are important, the music is what it all comes down to. Artists on the docket include: Alanna Fugate, Andrea Davidson, Big Diggity, Kentucky Fried Pickin, Paradigm, Madahoochi, Thirteenth Sun, and Vessel, just for starters.
Now I know what you’re thinking: that all sounds good, but how do I know you aren't just blowin’ hot air? Well, all this week on FPK After Dark, the Jam Session and a few other segments will feature acts from the Peak Summit line up. So you can get a little nibble or the smorgasbord that is Peak Sumit
