Well, it's quite obvious now, in whatever avenue, alley, department store or piece of media you gander, the Christmas inundation is upon us. The blogs are no different and the first shot has been fired by a guy who has already been dominating the web for the past couple months - Strokes lead-man Julian Casablancas. His debut solo album, Phrazes For The Young, recently saw its release and included with it is a bonus track in which Julian announces his love of SNL by covering the Holiday classic "I Wish It Was Christmas Today" (though the song might lose something with seeing Tracy Morgan dropping some sooth moves) . Aside go the synth that dominate the record and what we get is what we've been asking for. Something with that instantly identifiable Strokes sound.
