Company of Thieves Return For Food-Raiser!

91.9 WFPK and Yum! Brands Foundation Present a Dare to Care Food-Raiser Featuring Company of Thieves and Harper Simon with Wussy at Headliners Music Hall on Saturday, November 14th at 8pm.  Tickets are on sale now here at 619 South 4th St, www.ticketmaster.com, 361-3100, all TicketMaster outlets and at the door the night of the show.  Tickets for this 18 and over show are only $10.00.  Dare to Care will be collecting canned goods and frozen turkeys at the door.

Chicago-based Company of Thieves will return for an encore performance following their September Waterfront Wednesday set where they brought the house down.  Led by the dominating vocals of Genevieve Schatz, this indie 5-piece breezes through their newest Wind-Up release, “Ordinary Riches”, but the live show...be ready to rock.

Co-billing the night is Paul Simon’s son, Harper Simon.  Harper is touring in support of his self-titled debut.  Backed by an indie powerhouse trio featuring members of Cat Power’s, Rufus Wainwright’s and Jon Spencer’s bands, this heavily-pedigreed singer-songwriter draws on the era of classic pop and folk songwriting with an indie-pop tone.

Cincinnati’s Wussy opens the show as a duo featuring their principal song-writers Chuck Cleaver and Lisa Walker.   “I’m thrilled with this lineup”, says WFPK program director Stacy Owen.  “Our efforts for the concert are two-fold…to celebrate a year of musical discoveries and build awareness for the great work that Yum! Brands Foundation and Dare to Care provide our community.”
