Kurt Vile just announced the release of a new record and gave us a sample of it. On April 9, Vile will release Wakin on a Pretty Daze via Matador. The almost-title track, Wakin on a Pretty Day, has been made available for download as well. It's a long one, but it doesn't ramble. Vile hones in on all the right bits and accentuates them in a style that's instantly familiar (if you were a fan of his last album, Smoke Ring for My Halo) and energizing.
