Mental Health Day October 6

Wednesday, October 6th, is another WFPK Mental Health Day! Listen from 6 am till 6 pm. Call 502-814-WFPK (9375) and request a song that lifts you up, gives you hope or helps you cope! You can also email a request to studio@wfpk.orgor, record your request as a voice memo on your phone. Send it to studio@wfpk.org, and you might just hear it on the air!

October is Mental Health Awareness Month, so we'll welcome some special guests! 8 am -  Health Psychologist, Dr. Liz McKune, from Passport Health Plan by Molina will discuss the social determinants of health—housing, food, transportation, etc., and how this impacts mental as well as physical health.

2 pm - Marty Purdy, Vice President of Addictions at Seven Counties Services, talks to Otis about how the pandemic has increased co-occuring mental disorders.
